With its unique strengths in mind, Resident Evil 4 VR is a full adaptation of the original game, rebuilt for virtual reality. It carries the entire campaign and pacing into a first-person format that feels both new and faithful.
Full Campaign Experience: Every chapter, puzzle, and encounter has been restructured for VR, giving players access to the entire story rather than a shortened version. It plays like a full game, not a demo or spin-off.
Environmental Presence: Locations that once felt cinematic now feel physical. Walking through narrow hallways, exploring rural villages, and facing enemies up close create tension that traditional screens could only suggest.
Visual and Audio Depth: Lighting, scale, and ambient sound are amplified through VR’s sense of proximity, making the same environments from the original game feel more immersive and alive.
It stands out for translating an entire AAA experience into VR without losing the pacing, mood, or atmosphere that defined the original, creating a rare sense of immersion few adaptations achieve.
Resident Evil 4 VR keeps you alert and engaged from start to finish. Tension builds as you aim, reload, and fight in real time, making every sound and shadow feel close. The experience can be intense, but the goal is to stay calm, adapt quickly, and feel completely present in the world around you.
Even if you’ve played the original version, this is like a new game, while also being faithful to the original. The action, puzzles and boss fights are great experiencing in first person. Having peripheral vision makes the experience with the cloudy skies, rickety tree branches and damp cave. Play this. We need more games like this in VR – SoulJacker
I was and am a HUGE fan of the RE Series. From start to now. But I remember First playing RE4 on the PS2, and even then it was awesome. Here i am 21 years later, and now playing it on VR? Absolutely incredible. Hands down one of the GREATEST purchases on the meta store. I want nothing more than an RE5 drop. That would be sick – DankB00F
